Thanks for considering Cho’s Legacy Martial Arts for all your summer camp needs!

We are dedicated to teaching our campers valuable life skills and principles through daily martial arts classes while making camp fun and exciting. Our amazing themes, “in-house” field trips, games and activities will have your child begging for more!

What makes your summer camp any different than others in the community?

That’s a great question and here’s a quick summary of why we’re different:

Rain Policy? Not at our camp…your child will never get stuck in a cabin or pavilion all day bored out of their mind. Our large, matted area allows kids to stay indoors, out of the rain, while staying active and having fun!

MARTIAL ARTS! EACH CAMPER WILL PARTICIPATE IN DAILY MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES WHERE THEY’LL LEARN BULLY PREVENTION, SELF-DEFENSE, STRANGER DANGER & MORE ADDITIONALLY, THEY’LL GET EXPERIENCE WITH COOL MARTIAL ARTS TECHNIQUES. THE CONTENT OF EACH CLASS COORDINATES WITH THE WEEKLY CAMP THEME, MAKING EVERY CLASS MEMORABLE AND EXCITING!

AWESOME FIELD TRIPS, AT CHO’S LEGACY MARTIAL ARTS, FIELD TRIPS COME TO US & SOMETIMES WE GO TO THEM. EACH WEEK WE’LL HAVE VARIOUS ACTIVITIES ARRIVE FOR THE CAMPERS TO ENJOY SUCH AS INFLATABLES, ROCK CLIMBING WALL, LASER TAG OR THE GAMING TRUCK!

What will a typical day at your martial arts summer camp be like for my child?

At Cho’s Legacy Martial Arts, our summer camps include FREE early drop-off and late pick-up at no additional charge. All of our planned activities will begin each day at 9am. During this time your child will participate in “Active Play” meaning activities designed to get child physically involved including martial arts class, games, arts & crafts and more! (No video games or movies during these times)

Frequently Asked Questions

You’re responsible for a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle.  We also ask that you send your child in comfortable, loose-fitting clothes.

Camps start on different days each year depending on the Morris School District release schedule and run the last 2 weeks of June and then all 4 weeks of August. There is no camp throughout July. Contact us for this year’s dates, themes, field trips and more!  Plus, you can always schedule a tour of our facility to meet our staff & have all your questions answered.

Absolutely!  All of our staff undergo state & federal background checks and are CPR & first aid trained.  All camp staff are thoroughly trained on camp policies, safety procedures, lesson plans and activities.  All to Ensure your child has the best experience possible!

Each session of camp varies in how many campers are expected due to demand and staff availability that week.  As a result, while weeks may vary in number, we will always ensure that we meet state guidelines for staff to camper ratios.  Our average staff to camper ratio is 1 to 15 per week.

No, typically demand is less during the week of July 4th and we use this opportunity to give our staff much needed time off after the long days of summer camp and evening classes.  This way they come back rested, relaxed, and prepared to give your child a memorable camp experience later in the summer.

No.  While campers can’t “opt out” of field trips, we’ll never make your child participate in a field trip against their will.  Campers not willing to participate in scheduled field trips may still be required to go with their designated group during off-site activities due to staffing and supervision concerns.  See studio for dates and details.

A:  Absolutely not, in fact most campers attend our regular camp hours from 9am to 3:30pm each day but never participate in early drop-off or late pick-up.  We understand everyone’s needs are different; as a result, you are welcome to drop-off and pick-up your child during any of our summer camp hours and your child is never required to attend every day of camp.
